About this list
===============
You have subscribed to fuego-announce@cendio.se (previously known as
fuego-announce@signum.se) some time in the past. That mailinglist has
now been renamed to productinfo@lists.ingate.com.
Ingate Systems was spun-off from Intertex and Cendio in June 2001 to
develop SIP-capable firewalls for the enterprise market. The Fuego
Firewall has been renamed to Ingate Firewall. As one of the final
steps in this transition we have now renamed this mailing list. All
old subscribers have been added to the productinfo list.
You should have received an e-mail a short while ago with info on how
to unsubscribe from this list if you no longer want to be a member of
it.
Ingate Firewall 3.1.1 available
===============================
Fuego Firewall version 2.6.1 was released 2001-05-22. Since then, we
have made extensive changes to the firewall code to produce Ingate
Firewall 3.0. The 3.0 version was only delivered on new units; users
of Fuego Firewall could not upgrade to it.
Ingate Firewall 3.1.0 was released 2002-10-01. Unfortunately, some
severe performance problems and some VPN-related problems were still
present in that release, so we never announced it on the mailing list.
Ingate Firewall 3.1.1 has been available for some time. We recommend
that all Fuego Firewall users upgrade to it. You must upgrade to
version 3.1.0 first, and then to version 3.1.1.
Please read the separate upgrade instructions, available from
http://www.ingate.com/upgrades/. This is especially important if you
are upgrading from the Fuego Firewall product line; you might have to
apply another patch before you can successfully upgrade your unit to
become an Ingate Firewall.
